Celebrated every June, the prestigious Union City Artist Awards honor the most talented and dedicated artists from all disciplines who have contributed to Union City's artistic fabric. What makes this award so special is that it celebrates and accentuates an individual artist’s distinguished artistic career and his/hers many accomplishments.

Union City Artist Awards 2012


The first ever Union City Artist Awards were held on Friday, June 15, 2012 at 7:00 PM at the William V. Musto Cultural Center, 420 - 15th Street in Union City, New Jersey.  The awards honored the most talented and dedicated artists from all disciplines who have contributed to Union City's artistic fabric. A special recognition was also given to legendary Latin percussionist Candido Camero, as well as City Proclamations to two renowned radio personalities

The elegant red carpet event featured live music by the group (U)nity, as well as guest performances by Alisa Peterson, soprano; Guadalupe Peraza, Mezzo-Soprano; John Jay Hebert, Lyric Tenor; and Craig Ketter on piano. In addition, the event showcased a wonderful art exhibit by Frank Guiller and Juan-Si Gonzalez.
